Kids of the Elephant

Kids of the Elephant (KOTE) saw the light of day in 2021 in Brussels (BE). The band is a mix of musicians born from the mind of frontman William Declerck (aka William Clarx). After graduating in medicine, he decides to specialize in music. Med tech grinder by day, soul star by night, William uses his talent for warm rhythms to stitch the funky and juicy guitar riffs together. He writes, records, and produces all the songs in his bedroom studio. On stage, the band turns this into a danceable performance that looks like Jungle french kissing with Tame Impala. Kids of the Elephant heals the soul with carefree funk pop and feels like a natural high that you need after a long day at the office.

KOTE is William Clarx (guitar, lead vocals), Simon Cogels (keys, backing vocals), Jeremy Murphy (bass, backing vocals) and Hadrien Pierson (drums).

After releasing debut EP ‘As a Friend’ in 2024, Kids of the Elephant will drop their brand new single ‘On And On’ in January 2025. It’s a collaboration with Remy Lebbos (L'Impératrice, Girls in Hawaï) and Frederik Dejongh (Jamie Lidell, Balthazar).
