Kiento is a Colombian artist raised in Queens, New York. He plays with dem-bow drum patterns and electronic synths, and alternates Spanish and English in his vocals. Driven by the undeniable vitality that is Queens, he makes music to have fun, create a sense of belonging, and pave a path to self-discovery. As an undocumented person, music has been his way of reconnecting with his native Colombia, and moving to NYC at a young age meant that he was also heavily influenced by house, soul, hip-hop and R&B. In his single Aflote in 2022, these sounds blend to create something effortlessly fresh. Later this year Kiento will release his debut EP.
