Kieskagato (previously called RM 101) was a Portland, Oregon based progressive/ indie rock band whose unique sound grew out of the juxtaposition of grunge guitar layers with jazz and soul influenced stacked trumpet arrangements. Originally from Madison, Wisconsin and consisting of members Josh Vasby (guitar/ vocals/ cornet), Adam Schultz (bass/ trumpet), Derek Schultz (guitar/ keyboard), Bryan Fairfield (drums) and Dave Jorgensen (trumpet/ keyboard), the band released several albums and regularly toured the U.S. from the late 1990's until roughly 2010. Members of Kieskagato continue to perform in many other bands including Blind Pilot and Pigs On The Wing.
