Kilae

Kilae, born Kyle Bowen, is a gifted producer and rapper hailing from Elizabeth, New Jersey. His musical journey is a testament to resilience and growth, forged through personal loss and relentless perseverance. The tragic passing of his mother in December 2004 marked a pivotal moment in his life, pushing him to seek a fresh start in Atlanta, Georgia—the city that shaped much of his youth and musical influences.

In Atlanta, Kilae found inspiration in his father, Tony Bowen, a self-taught pianist and vocalist. Witnessing his father’s unwavering commitment to his craft in the studio ignited Kilae’s own passion for music and helped him hone his unique artistic voice.

From 2011 to 2016, Kilae served in the United States Marine Corps as a Radio Operator with the 1st Battalion, 12th Marines Headquarters. During a training mission, he suffered serious injuries, including broken knuckles and a ruptured Achilles tendon, which required a long and grueling seven-year recovery. Rather than deter him, this challenge fueled his drive to pursue his dreams even harder.

In 2022, Kilae embraced fatherhood with the birth of his first son, and later, a second child. Now a proud father of two, his determination to succeed in the music industry is stronger than ever. With new projects on the way, Kilae is ready to share his evolution as an artist with the world.
