Nashville, TN may not be known as a hip hop Mecca, but a few natives have been changing that dynamic within the city; providing an alternative to the main genre for which the city is famous for. Born and raised in Nashville (known as Metro among the locals), KillamusiQ sought to provide & expand on a “sound” among the hip hop community within the city & expand it to the world. Exposed to music since infancy by his father whom marched as first trumpet chair in Tennessee State University’s Aristocrat of Bands, KillamusiQ has always had a desire to create & solidify a style unique to Nashville and the world. Starting his production career in 2001, it wasn’t long before his sound would ultimately net his first placement with Trill Entertainment’s own Webbie. Fast forward to today having worked with names such as Parmalee, Drumma Boy, 8 Ball & MJG, & Billy Ray Cyrus to name of few, it seems it’ll be just a matter of time before we’re all saying “Turn Me Up Killa”-
