Hailing from the stunning landscapes of Arrowtown, New Zealand, Killergrams is led by composer and singer-songwriter Tom Maxwell, joined by his brother, singer and bassist Sam Maxwell, along with Nick Lynch on piano and Reuben Pearce on drums.
Their latest EP, "Lonely Nights In A Little Town," follows their debut release "Midnight Hours" in 2019.
As some listeners may be aware, Killergrams' debut album, "Midnight Hours," vanished from streaming platforms due to an unexpected mishap during a change in distribution partners. Turning adversity into opportunity, the band decided to reissue the album, enriching it with ten previously unreleased recordings.
The album has been restructured into two discs, each featuring ten songs. One focuses on folk/alt-country ballads, while the other explores gothic blues and classic rock. These tracks were culled from recording sessions at various locations: Chick's Hotel in Port Chalmers, Studio Sublime in Kurow, and two live performances from Killergrams - Industrial Sessions Live on YouTube.
The songs boast significant contributions from guest musicians, including Holly Arrowsmith, Ryan Fisherman, Elmore Jones, Hana Fahy, Tom Lynch, David Craig, Tom Bell, Sam Healey, Ollie McLean, Steve Roberts, Tom Havard, along with Lydia Humphreys' beautiful artwork and Paul Mclennan-Kissel (The Broken Heartbreakers, Julian Temple Band), among others.
