Kim has been writing songs and performing, both solo and with various bands, for around 20 years. Primarily acoustic, wistful and evocative of nature, resonating with a traditional English folk aesthetic, dark in places, though escapist with a magical/mystical timbre. Kim’s work often evokes an archaic atmosphere and nuances of Celtic and medieval times.

The first album, released in 2008, entitled ‘Songs from the Uglee Meadow’, attracted a niche following of primarily pagan/trad-folk music fans with a penchant for nature and literary references.

The follow-up album, ‘The Hollows’, has been 4 years in the making and although some tracks are similar in style to those on the last, ‘The Hollows’ branches out into an altogether more experimental and eclectic idiom with a more diverse range of instrumentation and an added level of sophistication to the production. Themes remain very much rooted in nature, mysticism and the arcane.
