Kim Wigaard is a Norwegian singer, conductor, vocal coach, and television
personality with a diverse career in music and entertainment. He is educated at the Norwegian
Academy of Music, the Oslo National Academy of the Arts, and the Manhattan School of Music in
New York.
Wigaard has performed at the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet, Off-Broadway in New York,
and has held sold-out concerts and tours throughout Norway. He has participated in several
major TV shows, including Idol, The Voice, Melodi Grand Prix, Maskorama, and Stjernekamp,
where he won the fifth season in 2024 as the character "Stein," and the twelfth season of
Stjernekamp on NRK in the spring of 2025.
He is widely recognized for his work as the conductor for NRK’s documentary series
Demenskoret, where he led a choir of people living with dementia over two seasons. For this
work, he was awarded the University of Oslo’s Human Rights Prize in 2023, the Gullruten Award
in 2023, and the prestigious “Årets Ladejarl” award in 2024.
He was the host of The Bachelor on MAX in 2023 and released his book "Musikkens Magi" the same year.
Wigaard runs the vocal academy Stemmeakademiet and has been a vocal coach for artists such
as Marcus & Martinus, Sandra Lyng, eMMa, and others.
Kim continues to work as an artist and regularly releases new Norwegian music through his own
label, Kim Jay Records.
