King David Oke is a Lagos born musician whose roots hail from Delta State, Nigeria. His love for music started in his family church where he began playing the drums at the age of ten. He later went on to teach himself how to play the piano and other instruments. After being denied a degree from university of Benin, he knew that it was his opportunity to pursue his passion for music.
He describes his music as “a deep indigenous sound that cuts through different tribes and cultures of Africa”. Having the desire to bring healing and peace by telling the stories of the Motherland, he attributes his unique sound and inspiring lyrics to the spirit of God and his reverence for the Almighty.
