King Dr. Saheed Osupa, born Akorede Babatunde Okunola on August 7, 1970, is a renowned Nigerian Fuji musician, singer, and songwriter. He began his professional music career in 1983 as a teenager and has since released over 150 studio and live albums, including a notable 4-in-1 album titled "Mr. Music." His early works include his debut album "Fuji Fa Disco" and "Fuji Blues." King Dr. Saheed Osupa is highly celebrated for preserving and modernizing Fuji music, a genre blending traditional Yoruba sounds with contemporary styles. In 2008, he was officially declared the "King of Fuji Music" by the legendary Chief Dr. Sikiru Ayinde Barrister (MFR), solidifying his position as one of the leading Fuji musicians. His mastery in using Yoruba proverbs and cultural themes has earned him widespread acclaim and a loyal fan base in Nigeria and beyond.
