Lawrence Alobi better known as <a href="spotify:artist:6VRoeITc5bYnG2hYjTXiHK" data-name="King Plu">King Plu</a> is a Nigerian-American artist born to traditional African parents. Raised by his late mother, the value of education was heavily instilled in him as a child, and she had aspirations for him to become a doctor. Despite his mother's desire for him to pursue a career in medicine, <a href="spotify:artist:6VRoeITc5bYnG2hYjTXiHK" data-name="King Plu">King Plu</a> had an affinity for poetry and music.
From an early age, he would write poems, and have his mom or siblings read them to see if they understood the message or picture he was trying to paint. In his late teens, he began the transition from poetry to music. In his words, “Music is just poetry with a tune to it”.
While attending college, began pursuing a professional career in music. After graduation, <a href="spotify:artist:6VRoeITc5bYnG2hYjTXiHK" data-name="King Plu">King Plu</a> became a member of the Rap group 4th & Inchez, releasing 3 albums and 2 mixtapes. <a href="spotify:artist:6VRoeITc5bYnG2hYjTXiHK" data-name="King Plu">King Plu</a> later joined a group called The Union, and together they put out 4 mixtapes and toured within the south. After the disbandment of the group in 2011, Pluto went on to writing and composing music for several artists when he joined the songwriting collective called The Four.
