Georgia native rapper King Troup is finally forging a lane for himself among Atlanta’s rapper elite with backings from the artists such as Young Thug, T.I. and Future. Born Keith Troup III, he emerged from the shadow of his late father Keith Bernard Troup, known as simply “Troup” by his comrades. He was gunned down in late 2015 and was largely respected, especially in Atlanta. Keith Bernard Troup could be described as a Nipsey Hussle of his time for this city, having had his hand in the streets with a soft-spot for serving his community.
King Troup, who assumed his father’s name after his passing, is well on his way to carrying on his father’s legacy while building his own.
