Kingsley

Kingsley is a recording artist, producer, songwriter & engineer based in Pretoria, South Africa and representing the latest breed of standout
upcoming artists on the African continent. He is particularly know for his razor-sharp bars, soulful melodies and tantalizing hooks, which he does as second-nature.

He started out as a producer at the age of 11 when he was introduced
to FL Studio by his older brother, and gained quick interest in beat
making and lyricism. A year later, he began writing lyrics and practicing
the rap artform in his first year of high school, which was a decision primarily
influenced by seeing his older perform on stage as a senior. He cites early
influences such as AKA, Michael Jackson, Kanye West & Lil Wayne.
Although his love for Hip-Hop stems from its early impact on him,
he blends it with the RnB, Soul and Pop influences gained from
the music played in his household by his parents from a tender age.

At 16, he released his first track as part of a high school group which
he formed with two of his friends. His solo career began when he
enrolled at the University of Pretoria, just as the current Pitori Hip-Hop and Amapiano scenes
were emerging. He also founded Kountry Klub Records
