For Kira Fontana, creating music has always been spiritual. After studying music at top conservatories on the East Coast, Kira moved to LA to begin her career. Discouraged by what she saw in the music industry, she eventually lost inspiration and stopped writing and singing. But at the end of 2017, something changed. Kira had been “spiritual, but not religious” for many years, but when she began praying to “see truth", she had a revelation. “I finally saw the world for what it was. I saw so much darkness, and needed to find the true light." That search led to a radical encounter with Jesus.
On this new spiritual path, she remembers praying one night, “God, why did you even make me?” That very night at 3am, she woke from a dream as a song flashed through her head. She got up and recorded the chorus to “Refuge”. A flood of songs came next, as God was answering, "I made you to worship Me." Kira’s songs are prayers and praise to the God who gave her new life. It is music that uplifts and inspires. Music that is a light in the darkness.
