I’ve been playing music since I was 9 years old, starting with piano lessons. I learned to play flute for several years in elementary and middle school and taught myself to play guitar when I was 16. I even had a brief stint at learning cello for a year or two. I wrote my first song when I was 16 and come from a musical family, as both of my parents are musicians, my mom being a folk singer and my dad being a blues guitarist. I was in a lot of choirs, dance, and theatre growing up and have had formal training here and there but am mostly self taught. I love world music and am currently in an improv band that will be playing out starting in 2020. I also enjoy collaborating with other musicians, as I've done previously with Mark Adler, for a few of his vocal songs.
