KIRI, the solo moniker of 25-year-old Erika Prakash, is a singer from Singapore. Her musical style is influenced by artistes such as Jhené Aiko, Aurora and Joji amounting to a more Synth wave, R&B, Pop style. In the peak of the pandemic where life got the toughest for her, writing music, and singing played a major role in comforting her and keeping her productive through her traumatic experiences. Thus, she embarked in her fight against destigmatising mental illnesses and trauma, with the aim to inspire her audience by putting out music that is soothing; full of synth waves and chill beats accompanied by meaningful lyrics to pull on heart strings. In the hopes that her songs, lyrics and messages relate to her audience, bringing about a sense of hope, belonging and comfort. In 2021, she became a student of Academy of Rock under the REACH programme headed by AOR Global, where she attends lessons for her vocals, piano, guitar and drums as she continues to pursue her craft.
