Ifeoma Nkiruka Chukwuogo, or better known on stage as Kirukaah, is an emerging multi-genre artist, singer, and songwriter originating from Nigeria. Through her vivid lyricism, soulful rhythms and jazzy vocal grit, she paints a blank canvas with emotion, passion, a child-like honesty, and unrivaled ardor. Having lived in Austin, Texas, Los Angeles, California, Port Harcourt, Nigeria, Abuja, Nigeria, Lagos, Nigeria, and Accra, Ghana, Kirukaah’s style is shaped by varying cultures and sounds. Inspired by love, freedom and the collective unconscious, Kirukaah radiates infectious emancipation through her music that will have listeners resonating to themes surrounding our human experience with love, desire, rage and vulnerability. Born from a yearning to fulfill a childhood passion for music and an opportunity to tell stories through another artistic medium outside her training and work as a filmmaker and media producer, Kirukaah’s debut EP Sanguine takes listeners through a winding journey of hope, freedom, love and pain, weaving these elements into a familiar narrative of the bittersweet yet magical privilege of navigating life and love with an open heart.
