Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, LaKisha Renee Grandy – Lee began singing at the tender age of four. Kisha attended the Arts Magnet High school where she studied classical music for four years. Kisha went on to further her education and received her bachelor's degree in Communication.

As a member of Kirk Franklin & The Family, Kisha’s deep rich alto voice was featured on songs such as “Silver & Gold” on the Kirk Franklin and The Family’s “Why We Sing” video, “The Night That Christ Was Born” on’ Kirk Franklin and The Family’s Christmas Album’, “Savior More Than Life To Me” on the WatchaLookin’ 4 Album and “He Loves Me”, “Lovely Day”, and “Hold Me Now” on the NuNation Project’. Kisha Grandy’s vocals have also been featured on several different recordings such as Don’t Be a Menace Soundtrack, and Coca-Cola, Chrysler & Church’s Chicken commercials. Grandy also was the lead character, "Vianne" for Tyler Perry's hit stage play I Can Do bad All By Myself! She has toured the world in several other major plays as well.

Ms. Grandy's current EP project entitled "ReBorn" not only displays her unique vocal style and love of music, but also ministers to those who have been forgotten and counted out. Kisha’s vocals can also be heard on the brand new Chart-Topping EP entitled “Together Forever” from The Family! Yes, after 30 years The Family is BACK!!!! Great Things are Ahead!
