His journey into the spotlight began in 2016, when he rose to national recognition as the second runner-up on MTN Project Fame West Africa Season 9. His performance on the show introduced him to a wide audience and showcased his ability to blend technical vocal control with stage presence. He later went on to compete in Season 3 of The Voice Nigeria, where he further demonstrated his artistry by delivering standout renditions of songs such as Ada Ada and Laye, earning admiration for his tone and emotional expression.
Following his time on talent platforms, Kitay transitioned into building his independent music career, beginning with his debut single “Ogogoro”, which marked his official entry into the Nigerian music scene.
