Kiyona

Vocalist KIYONA, a Tokyo born artist and currently living in NYC. KIYONA traces her passion for music back to her earliest childhood.

KIYONA began vocal training in the “Turtle Music Plant” school established by Yuka Kamebuchi, one of Japan’s most famous Gospel singers.



While in junior high school, her English teacher strongly encouraged her study of English. She became interested in pursuing study in US and soon attended the State University of New York. She also joined an R&B band and the Experimental Music Group (EMG), and performed in university and local bars and clubs around the area.

KIYONA is now working as a contemporary / latin jazz vocalist.

She has been honing her R&B chops with performances at showcases and cabaret rooms throughout New York City.

She says she feels real happiness when her audience is moved by her performance.

KIYONA has a dream to sing as her life’s work, she will be creating her own Showcases in New York and performing internationally to bring her incredible talent and positive spirit to the world.
