Kiyūkō is a Romanian-based J-Pop artist whose melodious tunes and evocative lyrics resonate from Bucharest to the vibrant streets of Tokyo. Drawing inspiration from artists like <a href="spotify:artist:2vjeuQwzSP5ErC1S41gONX" data-name="CHANMINA">CHANMINA</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:6hJkIUy4LmRN3l0Ld99M5x" data-name="Yuu Miyashita">Yuu Miyashita</a>, she fuses modern pop with rich storytelling, creating a musical experience uniquely her own.
Her journey began in 2010, when she started writing songs and poetry as a form of self-expression. In 2021, she took a major step forward by founding Poison Collective Records, a platform for collaboration and fresh sounds with fellow artists. However, as the pandemic impacted creative projects worldwide, the label took a brief pause. The remix ignited a new era for Kiyūkō, inspiring her to take an active role in managing these artists and further developing Poison Collective as a space for creative synergy.
Later in 2024, Kiyūkō embarked on a fresh musical venture with <a href="spotify:artist:4wY5JivJlxpMXyook6ZbDO" data-name="k.shiko">k.shiko</a> called <a href="spotify:artist:2yWPkoTK8wHbYfkCZ5BTvW" data-name="COOL KNIFE TIME">COOL KNIFE TIME</a>. This project allowed them to explore new genres, aiming to promote literary works while exploring their sound.
Generally, however, Kiyūkō creates music that invites listeners to let loose and dance, embracing music’s joyful side. To her, music is woven into life itself; it doesn’t always have to be serious, but it should always make us feel warm.
