Kize Bae is a YouTuber turned songwriter.
Originally a YouTuber who completes various learning challenges, Kize was introduced to songwriting in 2020 when she spontaneously took on a songwriting challenge. Coincidentally she fell in love with the process of pairing the power of words with the expression of music to tell a message or story.
Kize is currently based in Austin, TX. “Spark” was written and recorded entirely from her bedroom, and was released in 2022. She draws influence from Indie-pop, Pop, and Hip Hop genres. Her style is a blend of different genres that coalesce to tell a story. Kize’s background is in poetry writing, and she has a knack for storytelling and world creation through words. As a Korean-American, fluent in both English and Korean, her songs have the ability to transcend a single language barrier. “Spark” explores themes of hardships, hope, and the pursuit of happiness.
