You can call Klaas a multi-instrumentalist. He plays saxophone, flute, guitar, drums, bass guitar, mandolin and piano. He writes his own songs. His music is a wild mix of styles: jazz, latin, soft rock, blues, country and pop. He records them in his own Dancing Wolf Studio in Belgium.
In 1970 he joined the Dizzy Man’s Band in which he played the tenor saxophone and flute. They became quite famous in Holland, recorded 5 LP’s and 19 singles, had big hits and played all over Europe. The Opera was a big international hit.
Around 1996 his focus changed to country Music and had a solo career as Nick McAlley.
Nowadays he’s still writing and recording his own music. He released “Wholeheartedly” in 2018, just singing and playing the piano.
In 2019 he released a full album “Young@Heart - Old Soul” on which he tried to recreate the seventies sound, he loved when he played in the Dizzy Man’s Band.
