Kleopetrol are the punks of soul.
A true family band, the German outfit are made up of three siblings on drums, bass and guitar and the husband and wife team Billy-Ray Schlag (the band’s writer) and vocalist Tiana Kruškić at their core. The band have unique make-up and sound that draws inspiration from Funk-activist luminaries like <a href="spotify:artist:6hA6GJ2yJA08ifsAplkUr0" data-name="Sly Stone">Sly Stone</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1zuJe6b1roixEKMOtyrEak" data-name="Tina Turner">Tina Turner</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:7GaxyUddsPok8BuhxN6OUW" data-name="James Brown">James Brown</a>.
Emerging with a debut single 'When This Sh*t is Done' in the midst of the first wave of European Covid-19 pandemic, the group used their music to spread a message of love, unity and Soul Power.
Their second single 'High Alert 2020' is an anthem of female empowerment and further represents the dynamism and power of the bands music as well as their willingness to spread their political and cultural message.
