Kevin Nguyen, known as kng (pronounced k•n•g), is a Vietnamese-American DJ, producer, and music artist based in Grand Rapids, MI. Blending a spectrum of styles from Trap, 140, Dubstep, and Club Music —kng brings a bold, genre-fluid energy that resonates with diverse crowds across Michigan’s music circuit.

kng has performed across Michigan at places such as The Intersection, The Crofoot, Elektricity, Breakaway Music Festival, and Grand Rapids Asian Pacific Festival, where he’s opened for artists like Sullivan King, Adventure Club, AVELLO, NURKO, and Midnight Tyrannosaurus.

His music has landed on tastemaker labels like Alter/Ego - founded by Hex Cougar - and Toronto-based label - Interval Audio which featured his collaboration with YoungWolf on their 2026 Spring Compilation.

kng’s momentum continued to build throughout 2025 including support for Club TSU by TSU NAMI, and for YDG on the You + Me Forever Tour. In 2026, he will be supporting AVELLO on his upcoming 2026 tour stop in Grand Rapids, marking another exciting step in his journey as an emerging artist in Michigan’s growing electronic scene.

kng also produces R&B and hip-hop beats - recently producing a track for THE SEVENth’s Skygod Part B EP—linking his work to Michigan’s AGO collective.
