Zion grew up in the Boston neighborhood of Roxbury, home of Malcolm X and Donna Summer, and spent his young adulthood in the nightclubs and Balls of New York.
Zion relocated to Los Angeles six years ago and began DJing parties and clubs around the city including The Ace, Gold Diggers, The Standard, Soho House, and The Resident. Inspired by the founding fathers of House Music - Frankie Knuckles & Larry Levan - Knights of Zion began his own monthly party, NEBULA, at the Mayfair Hotel. The night was drawing a solid crowd and building a reputation as one of the best dance parties in the city, hosting guest appearances from Novena Carmel (KCRW), Vula (Basement Jaxx), NEWBODY, Timbalerx, Sam Sparro and Dede Bird.
