Amsterdam-based duo Know V.A. are one of the Netherlands’ forefront explorers of genre bending club music. Pulling influences from their youths spent at hardcore and rave parties and an immense love for UK bass, their range is boundless and their music and DJ sets burst with dynamics.

Through their decade long run in Amsterdam, Know V.A. have always remained ahead of the curve. In the early 2010s they were the go-to support for Warp, LuckyMe, Ninja Tune and Tri Angle acts traveling through the country and hosted their own series HOAX, where they hosted artists like <a href="spotify:artist:7AqtQ161yX7B1509Pq0F6V" data-name="Mumdance">Mumdance</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:06xa1OLBsMQJFXcl2tQkH4" data-name="Machinedrum">Machinedrum</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:7FnYYWkKnxLYQEYRz6dptV" data-name="Visionist">Visionist</a>. In 2018, they launched a new series Strange Days, that predicated the gabber and hardcore transmutant revival across the club world. Strange Days fused the past and future, juxtaposing legends like DJ Promo and <a href="spotify:artist:0Zr8KrP13XdTkcbhn3bv8Y" data-name="DJ Ruffneck">DJ Ruffneck</a> alongside <a href="spotify:playlist:11qpUOLMaCxrHGYpKvFHqT" data-name="Genome 6.66 MBP">Genome 6.66 MBP</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:4rCySlHzijM0ZiFPx7tUhd" data-name="Gabber Eleganza">Gabber Eleganza</a>, truly melding the two worlds together half a decade before it became ubiquitous.

Finding homes on labels like Knives, their commissions include Calvin Klein ads and documentary <a href="spotify:album:3VthAIKY11mRdFLBoWPtQf" data-name="Thunderdome Never Dies">Thunderdome Never Dies</a>, and have collaborated with <a href="spotify:artist:57xaBKepmdqQ6BjXkiHa4B" data-name="LYZZA">LYZZA</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:0NwRAG9DawUqqgur9925fA" data-name="Slikback">Slikback</a>.

Their versatility is at home at illegal raves, festivals like Lowlands and Defqon.1, Boiler Room, electronic arts festivals like Fiber or Lunchmeat, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and Asia’s underground nightclubs. They have performed on radio stations like BBC 1Xtra, NTS, Rinse FM and host a monthly slot at Echobox Radio.
