Knowa Lazarus

Knowa Lazarus (knowalazarus.com) is ½ of the super duo music group “Q-York” (q-york.com). He was born and raised in the birthplace of Hip-Hop New York, NY (Queens,NY to be exact) and also lived in Los Angeles, CA for 4 years. Inspired by Gawad Kalinga (www.gk1world.com) he then bought a one-way ticket to Manila, Philippines with a mission to help bring the true essence of the Hip-Hop culture to his motherland but through that journey he evolved into a multi-faceted singer / songwriter, performer and producer.

In his songwriting, Knowa Lazarus emphasizes self-empowerment, positivity, spirituality and pride in being true to oneself. Their lyrics also address the issues and struggles of people worldwide in an attempt to bring unity to the divisions within our communities. He hopes to help bridge the gap between nations and generations and give inspiration to the world through Q-York’s unique style and sound.

Knowa Lazarus is also the Executive Director and founder of hisr own creative and multimedia studio, "Neu Breed Media" (neubreed-media.com). Through his foundation (samasamafoundation.org) the album "The Philippine Dream" reached Gold Status and from sales of the album Q-York fed 35000+ children in The Philippines.
