Kody Free

Few artists can match the vigor of the eccentric and elusive Kody Free. With his experimental blend of genre and his deeply personal lyrics, the 22-year-old crafts music well beyond his years. As a classically trained pianist and brass player, he brings a unique production style to his art as well.

Growing up in suburban Minnesota, he was always seen as an outsider. Kody began making music as a young man in high school, gradually learning how to incorporate different styles and ideas into his own creation, but, being reserved due to constant mockery, he rarely shared his music with the world- until the day one of his closest friends passed away. Kody rededicated his music to carrying on the enthusiasm and zest for life his friend possessed beginning in his senior year of high school and beyond. Gradually expanding his expertise in college, Kody began doing shows and developing his signature genre-bending sound. His first official release under Kody Free, Conciousness/Overnight, a double single, received rave reviews from various publications and fans alike.
