Köhlbrand

Hamburg has been the birthplace of many metalbands from all subgenres but with Köhlbrand emerges a new and very diverse player in the scene. If you had to categorize the freshly founded hanseatic fiver it would range somewhere between Death and Crust, but with the nuances of Punk, Grind, Black Metal and Rock ́n ́Roll. Köhlbrand come along with their self-titled 8 Track EP, a 22-minute long journey through beer-induced riffs with glorifyingly silly lyrics. You can ́t really talk about Newcomers though, as Köhlbrands setup consists of five expirienced musicians. With Max Goronzi and Pawel Wlodarczyk from Death Metal Band Infested, Philipp Bischoff being the Shouter at Sci-fi Death Band Damnation Defaced and Sören Eckardt and Bene Roschning coming from the Tech Metal Gang of The Oracle Machine. The Debut got recorded and mixed at the Ueberton Studios by Niko Karp in Rosengarten near Hamburg, while the mastering was done by Dan Swanö in the Unisound AB Studios. The Artwork was brought to life by Belgian Artist Bram Bruyneel.
