Kostya Kokokei is also a co-founder of the Mestnost label, a one-of-a-kind publishing company. Mestnost passes the musicians and their work through a sieve of local culture, in which they grew up. For him, the context is as much a part of the idea of any music piece as the author’s vision or a set of samples and synthesizers used during the recording process.
