The multi-talented Nigerian-American duo KONNECT are a steadily rising afrobeat group. Sisko Brandi and Billion a.k.a obiwanbillion are vocalists, producers and songwriters who had their musical debut in 2019. Based out of Houston, Texas by way of Owerri, Nigeria they are making their mark within contemporary afrobeats and putting their cities on the map in the process.
KONNECT’s smash hit Bamibiala garnered a lot of attention and had listeners eager for an album. They released their debut EP, Girls Love Summer in 2020 with tantalizing jammers like Koko and So Mi So.
Music has been woven into their lives since childhood. Coming from an immigrant household, the diversity of melodies have colored their music palettes allowing them to create a unique sound, fusing afro-groove, pop, bongo, and afrobeat, displaying their dynamic range of musical versatility. KONNECT is the group to watch, they’ll soon be headlining the afro-wave/afrobeat movement scene across the U.S. & Africa creating bangers along the way.
