Built for the love of blues and rock - 5 seasoned musicians formed Kosmikskala around summer of 2014.
Inspired by the likes of Eric Clapton, Janis Joplin, Etta James, Led Zeppelin, Beatles, The Allman Brothers, and a whole lot more, the band’s sound has morphed in this distinct flavor and energy that will make the crowd want more.
Comprised by Nitoy Adriano (Ely Buendia, Oktaves, Formerly of The Jerks), Grethee Afunggol (Antsfly, Kumpas), Ronnie Bungubung (Kumpas, Ronnie and the Blungubungs), Paolo Manuel (Ebe Dancel, The Jerks, Datu’s Tribe) and Tin Virtucio (Plan Of Fools, Formerly of Rintintin), their presence onstage alone makes you feel there is no other way but to listen and feel.
They have since then played different gigs all over Metro Manila, outside the metro and even played a couple of gigs out of the country at The Roadhouse Macau.
Kosmikskala has also played at different music festivals such as the annual Fête Dela Musique (which the band celebrates and considers as tradition because their first ever gig was at FDLM 2014. ) and most recent, the first ever Pulutanfest 2023 held at the CCP Grounds.
One of the hottest blues rock bands in Manila, it’s no wonder why they are sought after.
Armed with their influences and experiences, Kosmikskala makes sure that each note, each bar, each scale is infused with their own flavor of “cosmic” blues. The kind that will make you want to get lost in it.
