Kosta Burgess

His distinctively powerful, emotive voice and intricate rhythmic guitar playing make for an exciting and engaging listen, and he brings a refreshing twist to music otherwise reminiscent of years gone by.

Kosta Draws from a rich well of varied inspirations including <a href="spotify:artist:6v8FB84lnmJs434UJf2Mrm" data-name="Neil Young">Neil Young</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7x83XhcMbOTl1UdYsPTuZM" data-name="Tom Waits">Tom Waits</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5c3GLXai8YOMid29ZEuR9y" data-name="Nick Drake">Nick Drake</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:36TYhtGfsNztf9qzpggEbf" data-name="Adam Duritz">Adam Duritz</a>. His songs are equally versatile and eclectic, from raucous delta blues to simple, tender finger picked arrangements, and moving tales of characters at the mercy of love, time, and ambition (or the lack of any of those things).

His debut single, Louisiana, came out in January 2025 as part of the Spiritual 12 project by the brilliant Camden label and venue Spiritual Records. It&#39;s the first of many exciting recording projects he has planned for the years ahead, so keep an eye out for more!
