Based out of California’s Central Coast, Kregness first established himself in the Central Coast Hip Hop scene in 2013 with his debut EP, Aspirations, and the founding of California Polytechnic State University’s Music Production Union student organization. Through independent efforts and joint ventures with MPU, Kregness honed his craft as an artist, producer, mixing engineer, and events manager, releasing multiple solo projects and albums with San Luis Obispo rap group, Flak Mob, coordinating the celebrated Operation: Hip Hop concert series at Cal Poly, and working alongside leaders of the local music community to draw attention to homegrown talent. Leveraging his ability to manage all phases of music composition and publishing, Kregness prides himself with the ability of curating powerful listening experiences with the focus of anecdotal story-telling backed by emotion-evoking production.
Following the momentum generated by the release of his self-produced EP, All Me, and performing as an opening artist for the LongHaul Music Group and Ugly God in 2017, Kregness continued to build his business by marketing, producing, mixing, and mastering for independent artists and brands. Continuing his work with other artists allowed the opportunity to sharpen his skills for the publishing of Kregness’ 2020 debut studio album, The Foundation, which garnered over 100,000 streams within 5-months of release.
