KrevB is the persona of solo musician Nikolas Krevanko, a quirky nihilistic optimist hailing from the less-than-glamorous Portland, Oregon. Taught by his father, Nikolas picked up the guitar at age 6. He began to obsess over playing, only satisfied when his fingertips began to split and bleed. The guitar quickly became an extension of himself.
Conjuring inspiration from a plethora of artists, including the pop brilliance of Madonna with her use of synths and the unexpected punk roots of Blondie, to the psychedelic flares of Tame Impala. To plucking inspiration from the emotionally expressive guitar playing of J. Mascis of Dinosaur Jr, Nikolas’ deep admiration for music and unique styles comes up once again with his love for fuzz and strange use of octive chords thanks to Joshua Homme of Queens of the Stone Age.
Unafraid to experiment with different textures sonically, it becomes an immersive experience and transports you to another realm. It’s a disassociation that bleeds into another dimension and leaves your head dazed and swirling.
As KrevB, Nikolas writes all of the lyrics, playing all of his own music and acting as his own music producer. He is a force to be reckoned with, the music speaks for itself.
