Kris Klein uses performance and self-reflection and turns it into something spectacular and meaningful, crafting her traumas and obscenities into something that is truly beautiful and sacred. Through music, she repackages her life experiences and tribulations, showcasing a kaleidoscope of colors and allowing her hurt to serve as a vehicle to venture into a new universe full of electronic emotion and feeling, giving her the power to control her own narrative and to lead others in a dance to the beats and cadences of their shadows.
Her 2020 debut single “Medusa” off her upcoming debut LP “Et in Arcadia Ego” opened the door to an Arcadian fantasy land where demons and monsters lurk around every corner but exist merely as reminders that even in a lush green paradise, things on the outside aren’t always what they seem. However, despite existing under a looming cloud of loss & mortality, the brightest colors can be found in the darkest moments & scariest places, allowing us to soar above it all and be set free.
Drawing heavy influence from electronic synth-pop, house music, disco, and glam rock of the 80s & 90s as well as classical painting, literature, and greek mythology, Kris intertwines these elements with her passionate relationship to the musicality of her Asbury Park, New Jersey roots. (BRUUUUUUUUUCE!)
