Kris Petersen is a name that is truly embedded in the Australian Music Industry. From clubs to stadiums, Kris has performed on every continent and shared the stage with some of the world’s greatest artists.
In recent years alone, Kris has performed with, or alongside, Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, Orianthi, Van Halen, Billy Joel, Buckcherry, Daryl Braithwaite, The Living End, Icehouse, The Screaming Jets, The Choirboys and many more.
Coming from a family of professional musicians, Kris began playing the guitar at the age of 5. Discovering quickly that music was in his blood.
In 2008 Kris gained commercial success signing with SONY MUSIC as lead guitarist in “the NEXT”. Changing the name to SYNDICATE in 2011, Kris once again found himself on the Australian charts and life on the road.
Since Syndicate, Kris has lived in California playing for the Drifters, Eric Martin and Petra Stellum. He’s returned to Australia and enjoyed a successful solo career releasing another two records and played consistently all around the country. In the past two years, Kris has made name for himself as a songwriter, producer and studio engineer working with X-MUSIC to develop their new signings.
With a range of skills that support his performing and teaching, Kris’ work-life can be quite complex, yet his philosophy remains very simple, “Pass on what I have learnt and give it my all!”
