Fresh out of Alan Evans’ Iron Wax Studios, keyboardist Kris Yunker’s funky organ-driven solo album Bicoastal Waves hit digital stores on January 25th.
Yunker came to the East Coast in 2014 with On The Spot Trio co-founder, Danny Mayer. They began collaborating with Alan Evans of Soulive on a PlayOnBrother/The Alan Evans Trio tour with Tedeschi Trucks Band and recently finalized their upcoming album, The Wild Root releasing Spring of 2019. Kris also plays in Jen Durkin & The Business and appeared as a featured organist on an episode of Animal Planet’s Treehouse Masters.
Bicoastal Waves is Kris Yunker’s original music featuring the steady, hard-hitting grooves of Alan Evans on the drums and guest vocalist, Kelly Burr. Bicoastal Waves blends surf funk, space rock, and organ jazz to create a unique sound driven by Yunker’s left-handed bass lines.
