Born in Bombay and raised along the shores of Goa, Kristian Bent grew from a wide-eyed listener, nurtured by the music preferences of his kin, to a gritty frontman carving out his own sonic path. Once defined by intimate, campfire-style songwriting, Kristian’s music has evolved into a louder, filthier blend of country, blues and rock.
Fronting The Kristian Bent Band, Kristian leads a powerhouse line-up: long-time friend and collaborator, Nevin D’mello, rhythm specialist Sharang Nimbekar, groove anchor Sahil Ghosh on bass, and drummer Sreenath Srinivasan. Three of them being music educators lends the group both technical depth and a shared musical language that’s rare and refined when merged with a jam band element.
The songs, written by Kristian, pull deeply from the land he calls home. Goa, its rivers and rain, its beauty and contradictions, spill into every lyric. With themes now touching on love, loss and the rising tensions of society, his storytelling is as sharp as it is grounded.
His past work includes Campfire Stories (2017) and Where the River Meets the Sea (2020), records about growing up - but his current sound is about growing bold. The band is turning heads at every stage, and with new singles leading up to a 2026 album, they’re charging towards India’s major festivals with eyes set on Mahindra Blues.
