Kristina Murray is a Nashville-based country singer-songwriter known for her steadfast dedication to traditional country music. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, she fell in love with the genre at age five after hearing Patsy Cline’s Greatest Hits in her mother’s car. After a formative stint in Colorado’s bluegrass scene, she moved to Nashville in 2014, where she became a fixture in the East Nashville honky-tonk circuit, helping to establish the now-legendary Honky Tonk Tuesdays and becoming one of the first women to front a band at Santa’s Pub .
Murray self-released her debut album, Unravelin’, in 2013, followed by Southern Ambrosia in 2018, which earned critical acclaim and landed her on Rolling Stone’s “Artists You Need to Know” list. Her latest album, Little Blue, released on May 9, 2025, via Normaltown/New West Records, showcases her evocative songwriting and blends classic country with southern rock and Americana influences.
With a voice reminiscent of Emmylou Harris and George Jones, and a songwriting style that captures the complexities of everyday life, Kristina Murray continues to be a torchbearer for authentic country music.
