When Fireside took a break in 1998, Kristofer Åström solo-debuted with the album Go Went Gone.
Twenty years later, Kristofer again beamed with pianist Peter Hermansson who appeared on this album to give some highly acclaimed stripped-down concerts in duo format.

Kristofer Åström has so far released nine albums and some mini albums. The latest album The Story Of A Heart's Decay was released in 2015.
The latest mini-album Hold On Lioness came in 2018.

Kristofer's expression cannot be mistaken. The naked, rarely raised voice and the straight, poignant lyrics have a rare ability to make the audience listen.
Åström's musical track began in the early 1990s with the band Fireside. The band released six albums between 1994 and 2003, touring extensively in both Europe and the US, signed by star producer Rick Rubin and his company American Recordings.

Kristofer Åström solodebutered 1998 with "Go, Went, Gone". The greater attention as a solo artist came with the grammy nominated album "Northern Blues 2001 ″ which included the song" All Lovers Hell ".
He has over the years collaborated with artists such as The Bear Quartet, Monster, Cookies N 'Beans and Britta Persson.
Kristofer was awarded the 2010 prize in the category of that year's best singer-songwriter for the album "Sinkadus" at Manifestgalan. Kristofer has been nominated several times.
He has also produced and been a songwriter for many artists. For example, Britta Persson and Cookies 'n' Beans.
