Dutch-Chilean DJ and producer Daniël van Hoorn creates a boisterous, bass-heavy fusion of house, techno, garage and rave as KROMABIS. After graduating from the Herman Brood Academy in 2016, van Hoorn jumpstarted his career in the trap, and drum and bass scene. Right before the pandemic hit, van Hoorn found himself struggling with writer’s block and wanted to reinvent himself. KROMABIS doesn’t like labels, both literally and figuratively; he doesn’t identify himself as an “artist that sticks to a single type of music genre”.
In 2021, van Hoorn independently created and released his first EP, ANGST. The ANGST EP tells the story of van Hoorn’s (mental health) struggles, and thus is his most vulnerable piece of music he has produced to date. In the past, van Hoorn has also co-produced tracks with other artists. KROMABIS has played venues and festivals such as TOFFLER, Paard van Troje, and Hospitality on the Beach, Croatia. In 2022 everyone can expect more releases and live shows from van Hoorn. KROMABIS is back!
