Kruff began his musical journey at the age of 6 playing drums in the local church.
Born and raised in Cape Town and later emigrating to New Zealand. Kruff's fascination with music production started in his early teens after receiving a copy of music software in 2006. Over the years, Kruff was involved with many projects and gained affiliates a long the way.
These include but not limited to The Grow Room, Cosmic Compositions and rapper Gino October.
In 2014 the release of his first offical project, producing and rapping in the rap duo 'Psychodalix'. Shortly after, Kruff went on to educate himself in the field of audio and gained a Bachelor of Audio Production (SAE, Southern Institute of Technology: NZ, AUS).
During his studies Kruff released 2 projects, Lucid Funk (Honeyglazed Records, UK) and Chaos In The Perilymph (LOWTIDE, NZ). Kruff's musical style is explained by the producer as 'anything that transcends my mind into another realm via frequency'.
He relates his music to a feeling more than a style. He explains that "my production is influenced by many childhood moments, musical philosophers such as Sun Ra and other producers such as Madlib and J Dilla".
Kruff continues his form from his recent work with Gino October on 'Look How Far We've Come' where 4 of his beats features on the EP (Calisthenics, Edge Off, Look How Far We've Come, Enjoy The Ride).
