Kseniia is a Ukrainian artist, singer, songwriter and producer based in New York. Her music journey began when she was five years old while she attended a corner music school in the south of Ukraine.
In 2017, at the age of nineteen, Kseniia immigrated alone to the United States, leaving behind her university, her potential career as a journalist, and the most difficult—her friends and family.
In the US, she had to quickly shift her life and give up her passions, but she never stopped dreaming bigger. After three years of waiting tables and saving money, and five years of immigration and searching her place in this world—she had an epiphany. Music was where her heart belonged.
Kseniia plays the piano and the Bandura (a traditional Ukrainian instrument). Her music is currently in a phase of exploration – she shares her stories and experiences through the medium of different genres. This can be seen in Kseniia’s first single, “100 words about the war’’, which has an Avant-Pop, Electronic sound mixed with Ukrainian Folk elements. And, on the other hand, her new single ‘’Flight’’ that is an Alternative-Pop with R&B and Hip-Hop touches.
‘’Flight’’ is a story of a life-changing decision that Kseniia, as an immigrant, got to make.
Kseniia believes her music can be a way to communicate with people and share experiences in a relatable way, especially for those who once left home and everything they knew behind to start a new life.
