Kubix is a French guitarist, composer and producer, born in 1980 in the suburbs of Paris. He grew up in a family where music was ever-present, introduced at an early age by his father, himself a guitarist.

Kubix quickly established himself as a highly sought-after live and studio musician. He has collaborated with legendary artists such as Barrington Levy, Lee “Scratch” Perry, Max Romeo, Ijahman Levi, Alpha Blondy, or Kimberose and Ninho, earning a platinum record with the latter.

His career has taken him on tour across all five continents and has earned him two Grammy Awards as a collaborator with Morgan Heritage. An unusual yet telling anecdote reflecting his atypical journey: he even gave guitar lessons to Brad Pitt during the actor’s stay in Paris in 2006.

In 2020, Kubix released his first solo album, Guitar Chant, widely praised for its instrumental richness and artistic relevance. The project marked a major milestone, symbolizing his transition from sideman to fully-fledged solo artist. A Deluxe version followed in 2022, featuring collaborations with artists such as Ben l’Oncle Soul, Clinton Fearon, and Harrison Stafford (lead singer of Groundation).

In March 2026, Kubix will return with a second album, an instrumental Jamaican jazz album. Bringing together 19 musicians from France, the United States, Japan, Cuba and Jamaica, the project makes a strong artistic statement: championing live, improvised music that stands in opposition to current mainstream trends.
