Kuko De Kobra was formed in Vejle, Denmark as a "spiritual successor" to John Sharling's fomer band Low Down Deeper in 2010. Wanting to play classic rock somehow connecting sophistication and rawness Sharling teamed up with esteemed producer Jacob Hansen and the hugely talented multi-instrumentalist Martin Pagaard to record the first album Naja Naja.
The debut album Naja Naja was a solo effort in all but name but the follow-up A Girl and Her Giraffe brought Kuko De Kobra to life as a band. 2020 saw the release of the heavy concept album Ganeshaman, but also spelled the end for Kuko De Kobra as a live band as covid hit. Sharling recorded the power pop-influenced Underdog Chorus by himself and began working on his "23" project: every month on the 23rd Kuko De Kobra would release new music. In august 2023 the release in question was Kuko De Kobras 2nd concept album Liontamer.
In spring 2023 the band reemerged on stage with Sharling's old high school buddy Thomas Hesselholt on guitar and drummer Kasper Neubert.

But what a secret.
