Kurt Danger

Kurt “River” Freeman, otherwise known as the stage name, <a href="spotify:artist:7LNyUvqbfeLs4DPf6Igkoh" data-name="Kurt Danger">Kurt Danger</a>, was born in Kansas City, Missouri. Kurt started their music-making love triggering loops and effects on the Apple brand music-making software, GarageBand when they were about 10 or 11. Creating dubstep and electronic beats, under the name <a href="spotify:artist:50InTMZOxaoxxZyzHz0D6Q" data-name="DJ Creeper">DJ Creeper</a>, when they had free time in between school. One of their childhood best friends, who shared a similar interest in music, helped them create a bunch of tracks, there were still some tracks left over from that time which were released as <a href="spotify:album:3L3K2PMlo3jlbJWoKnoABD" data-name="Mirror">Mirror</a>. Kurt’s debut as <a href="spotify:artist:7LNyUvqbfeLs4DPf6Igkoh" data-name="Kurt Danger">Kurt Danger</a>, <a href="spotify:album:0QOsboQoScPyBq0hBCBxk5" data-name="Velvet Vault">Velvet Vault</a>, released in July of 2020 and was a mixtape of different songs that Kurt had made through mostly apple’s garageband loops. Kurt then released their second studio LP, <a href="spotify:album:31lx3ZwKYVajN2gpFboxlA" data-name="Threaded Glory">Threaded Glory</a>, in April 2021. <a href="spotify:album:2EZzyNeArsNu83EIlAHjFq" data-name="TELEVISION">TELEVISION</a> was a concept album, released in November 2021, which introduced the character of Kurt Danger, later named Kaos.
On August 5th, Kurt Danger released their 4th studio LP, <a href="spotify:album:6Bf81dxRhEsMzNXG1kMyOI" data-name="Circular Perpetuality">Circular Perpetuality</a>, A story told from the perspective of Roger Consulz, an original character within the narrative of the Kurt Danger discography.
They have now released the sequel to their debut mixtape, <a href="spotify:album:5szQBctz782aNtc5zu5fo3" data-name="Velvet Vault II">Velvet Vault II</a>. With a mixture of different sounds, Kurt leans back further into their roots of loops and synths, to create a synth-pop album of songs that explore topics of heartbreak and self-assurance within a dark environment.
