Born and raised in Chicago Southside, Kendell Godfrey AKA Kutta Da General is bringing hot and flavorful Rap and Hip Hop to the music scene. Growing up, KDG always had a penchant for music and the acoustic instruments – he began playing the drums when he was young, and now, as an upcoming and acclaimed artist, he’s opened shows for artists like Lil Bibby and has been compared to the stunning sounds of Future. Having released a mixtape titled “Streetlyfe” with his buddy Treezy G, KDG has been making waves by winning countless cash awards and scoring the opening acts at renowned music events – he’s even opened for Waka Flocka, Bone Crusher, Rico Love, Aretha Franklin, and Hotstylz to name a few, and not to mention the highly energetic performance he puts on! Today, Kutta Da General has morphed into a lyrical artist who proudly owns his own label, WyldLyfe Entertainment, and is also President of the Stackin’ Money High production company. His own single “On My Mama” dropped a stunning music video which is testament to his skill and lyrical genius – the word play and the beat bopping music is fresh blood in the stereotypical R&B, Rap, and Hip Hop scene, and with clever infusions of Pop and Melody, Kutta Da General isn’t here to play.
