Kwan Pa

Kwan Pa is an award winning traditional palm wine music band and a Ghanaian household name that performs various instruments from West Africa. After releasing their debut EP “Palm Wine Music”, the project revived a music genre that has influenced all African music and is part of its history. It is a blend of traditional music with a twist of comedic storytelling. With six tracks available, the project includes both English and Ghanaian twi songs that have a beautiful familiar melody we all grew up loving.

The indigenous band has been on the rise in the Ghanaian highlife music industry. They have won a number of awards for best traditional band including: Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Highlife Music Awards, Ghana Arts and Culture Awards and the Entertainment Achievement Awards two consecutive years in a row. Kwan Pa are mostly known for their interactive live performances and have a residency at Zen Garden in Accra, Ghana. Check out some of their videos online to understand what all the buzz is about.
